Big Kids Club

Ages 6-8

Primary Scholars Program (Ages 6–8 | 1st–2nd Grade)

Our Primary Scholars Program is designed to accelerate academic achievement and deepen foundational skills for students in first and second grade. At this stage, instruction becomes more targeted and rigorous, focusing on strengthening reading proficiency, critical thinking, and independent learning habits.

Students engage in systematic, research-based literacy instruction that includes phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and written expression. Lessons are strategically designed using data-driven practices to identify skill gaps, monitor progress, and deliver targeted instruction that leads to measurable growth. In mathematics, students build conceptual understanding, computational fluency, and problem-solving strategies that support academic confidence and success.

In addition to academic development, we emphasize executive functioning skills such as focus, organization, and perseverance. Students are guided to become active participants in their learning—developing confidence, independence, and a strong academic identity.

Through small-group instruction and individualized support, our Primary Scholars Program ensures that each child receives the precise level of challenge and support needed to excel. The result is accelerated growth, strengthened foundational skills, and learners who are fully prepared for the increasing demands of upper elementary education.
